Automatic warehouses for storage of chemicals

The ZhongShan Electronic company is a joint venture by Korean company Peopleworks and Humaneworks, since January 2013, located in LiShui, Nanjing, China. It is a main supplier of LG chemical.

Due to increasing business, they moved to a new industry park in 2017 and will have more production lines running soon.

Customer Problem
The company’s significant growth led to their collaboration with Automha, a company that has always stood out for its attentiveness to customer needs and the benefits of its customized automated warehouse for chemical storage.

The intense production and speed of order fulfillment had made the previous semi-automatic warehouse inadequate to the ever-increasing needs of ZhongShan, which saw the automatic warehouse as the ideal solution to their everyday problems.

Automha solution
The best solution presented to the leading company was from Automha, which has studied the specific project for the customer’s needs: maximum storage capacity, speed in order selection, and high safety requirement of a high-tech company.

The complete solution was composed of two warehouses:
1. Raw material warehouse
2. Finished goods warehouse

Both of them will connect with the production area.

Raw material warehouse:
– This new warehouse designed by Automha covers a volume of 8,032 cubic meter (length 51m, width 16m and height 10.5m). Total capacity reaches 1767 pallet positions, and stored load units of two dimensions: 1100x1100x1250mm and 1100x1100x1640mm for a maximum weight of 1000Kg.

– 1 bi-column stacker crane with SuperCAP BK on board, designed for multi-depth goods storage.

Stacker crane aisle length of 51 meters, servicing 6 levels, with 1 special height level able to store two different size loads.

1 SuperCAP BK on board is the safest and leading-edge satellite technology in the world, manageable with LIFO logic. In addition to supercapacitor, it possesses a lithium battery, used for powering the vehicle while waiting for the stacker crane. The presence of this battery guarantees maximum safety in the case of maintenance or unforeseen events and is in fact a safe level PL = D technology
1 RUSHMOVER Cart with 1 on-board conveyor feeds up to 11 conveyor stations entry/exit in the production area.
Three different handling conveyor areas connect the automatic warehouse to the raw material feeding and then to the production line.

Finished goods warehouse:

This new warehouse designed by Automha covers a volume of 20,160 cubic meter (length 96m, width 20m and height 10.5m). Total capacity reach to 3325 pallets position, and load units entered area of two dimensions: 1500x1100x880mm and 1500x1100x1730mm for a maximum weight of 1160Kg.
– 1 bi-column stacker crane with SuperCAP BK on board, designed for multi-depth goods storage.
– Stacker crane 96 meters in length servicing 6 levels, with 1 level of differentiated height to handle two different size loads.

Two different handling conveyor areas connect the automatic warehouse with the raw material feeding the production line.
The warehouse is also designed to store empty pallets from throughout the facility.
